In short
Pool renovation is the work of updating an existing pool so it holds water, runs efficiently, and looks the way you want. A renovation can address a failing liner, worn finish, outdated equipment, or a deck that no longer works for your yard.
A pool renovation is not one fixed job. The right scope depends on what is actually failing. Before any finish is chosen, the shell, the deck, the plumbing, and the equipment each need a separate look. Hollow plaster often means delamination, and a patch rarely lasts. Hidden cracks and rotten coping show only with the water down.
Bonding, drains, and code items are easiest to check while the pool is empty. A renovation without a written list of surfaces and equipment becomes an open cheque. Empty-pool work wants a stretch of dry, mild weather, so the schedule should be planned around the forecast.

The business also offers pool openings, water care, pool closings, liner installation, safety covers, hot tub and swim spa care, pool repair, equipment installation and repair, and leak detection. For renovation work, the owner should confirm which surfaces and equipment are covered before booking.

The cost of a pool renovation depends on access for equipment, how much deck comes up, and whether plumbing is reused. A tight yard that requires hand work or a crane will cost more than an open site. If the deck must be cut back to reach the shell, that adds labour and disposal. Reusing existing plumbing keeps the price lower than replacing lines.
The finish choice also matters: a basic plaster is less than a premium aggregate or tile. The condition of the shell underneath determines how much prep is needed before the new finish goes on.

How it works
A pool renovation follows a sequence that protects the new finish. First, the pool is drained and the existing surface is removed or prepared. Then the shell is inspected for cracks, delamination, and bonding issues. Plumbing and equipment are checked while the pool is empty. The new finish is applied and given cure time before the first fill.
A careful first fill prevents damage to the new surface. The final step is balancing the water and confirming the equipment runs correctly.

Questions
A pool renovation can include updating the liner, resurfacing the shell, repairing the deck, or replacing equipment. The exact scope depends on what is failing. The Pool Club offers pool renovation across Aurora, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, Etobicoke, Newmarket, and King City. Confirm the specific inclusions before booking.
The timeline depends on the scope and the weather. Empty-pool work wants a stretch of dry, mild weather. A simple liner replacement is faster than a full resurfacing with deck work. The Pool Club can provide a schedule after assessing the pool.
The best time is a stretch of dry, mild weather. Empty-pool work is easier to schedule when rain is not expected. Spring and early fall often work well in the Aurora, Vaughan, and Richmond Hill area. The Pool Club can advise on the best window for your project.
Yes, if the deck is in good condition. The renovation can focus on the shell, liner, or equipment. If the deck must come up to reach the shell, that adds cost. The Pool Club can assess whether the deck needs work.
Hollow plaster often means delamination, where the finish separates from the shell. A patch rarely lasts. The cause is usually water getting behind the plaster or a failed bond. A proper renovation removes the loose material and applies a new finish.
Most renovation work requires draining the pool. Hidden cracks and rotten coping show only with the water down. Bonding, drains, and code items are easiest to check while the pool is empty. The Pool Club will confirm if draining is needed for your project.
The cost depends on access for equipment, how much deck comes up, and whether plumbing is reused. A tight yard or a full deck replacement adds to the price. The Pool Club can provide a quote after assessing the pool. No fixed price is listed here.

Jovian and Kyle installed our pool last year in South Etobicoke. We have very tight access to the backyard and other pool companies recommend a vinyl pool because of the tight access. We knew we wanted a fiberglass pool and these guys figured it out and got it done with a beautiful Mova Pool. The whole project took no more than 2 weeks. Excellent work with both pool and interlocking. Highly recommend!
Jovian installed our pool and surrounding patio last summer. Good experience from start to end. Solid communication and support throughout the project. Money well spent! (and It looks great!) Thanks, Jovian!
Jovian, Kyle, and their team did an outstanding job transforming our outdoor space. It was a major project involving the replacement of interlock, construction of fences, a deck, pergola, and bench, as well as planting and lighting. They worked quickly and efficiently, executing every aspect with exceptional skill and professionalism. Their communication throughout the process was excellent, keeping us informed and confident every step of the way. We couldn't be happier with the results — the craftsmanship and attention to detail truly exceeded our expectations. One of the best testaments to their work is that two of our neighbours have since hired Stone for their own backyard projects!
Thank you so much for making our front yard so inviting, and our backyard one we can now relax and enjoy. Jovian, was amazing to work with on the design, making changes as we requested them, and making suggestions where appropriate. The budget price for the project was fair, and the project came in on budget and ahead of schedule. Professional communications and reliable service. Thanks so much.
These guys are the best!!.. five stars!.. Jovian and his team are the greatest to work with.. they listened to how I envisioned the fence and they followed through… . Look no further for your outdoor desires .. they are professional, punctual, friendly and fun!..
Jovian and his team did an amazing job on our backyard patio, clearing out our small deck and replacing it with stone tiles across the width of our house. But he really outdid himself by building a stone bench around 13 feet long from the very basic description I gave him. Seats 6 people and grandkids love to run across the top.
Joe and his team came in and in one week completely transformed the look of our yard. Stone steps and armour stone as well as plantings and a new fence. We get compliments every day from neighbours and those passing by.
Jovian was one of the only contractors that explained to us the proper way of fixing our front stone steps and re-doing our flagstone with a wet lay. After hiring numerous contractors over the years, he was one of the few that I did not have to worry about making sure that the job was done properly, thus alleviating much stress that occurs during projects. He was professional, courteous and work was completed in a timely manner. I would highly recommend his services and will always use Stone Landscaping for anything I need done in the future.
