In short

Overview

Pool openings are the first step to a clean, swimmable pool each spring. The Pool Club offers two packages: Essential at $399 plus HST for one visit, and Deluxe at $649 plus HST for two visits. Both include cover removal, equipment reassembly, startup, initial water testing, and a photo inspection report.

Pool Openings That Start Your Season Right

The Pool Club serves Aurora, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, Etobicoke, Newmarket, and King City. Before the crew arrives, the water must be halfway up the skimmer opening so the pump can prime and circulation can start. If the level is too low, startup may be rescheduled and extra service charges may apply. Advertised pricing covers standard residential inground pools up to 16 by 32 feet with a standard safety cover.

Larger pools, specialty covers, and jobs needing extra labour or equipment may cost more, so customers should give their pool dimensions when requesting service.

What Changes the Price

A second visit, extra vacuuming, and extra chemicals are common add-ons, not a default.

How it works

How the Work Is Done

The crew follows a set order to keep dirt out of the pool. Cover, plugs, and winterizing fittings come off in an order that keeps dirt out of the pool. Equipment is started, leaks at unions are watched, and first readings are taken. If the level is too low, a startup is delayed so the pump does not run dry.

After circulation begins, initial water testing and chlorine shock treatment are completed, and a photo inspection report is provided.

Questions

Questions People Ask First

What is the difference between the Essential and Deluxe pool openings?

Essential is $399 plus HST for one visit, and Deluxe is $649 plus HST for two visits. Do I need to do anything before the crew arrives?

Yes. The water must be halfway up the skimmer opening before the crew arrives. This is needed to prime the pump, start circulation, and complete the opening. If the level is too low, startup may be rescheduled and extra service charges may apply.

Is vacuuming included in the opening packages?

No. Pool vacuuming is extra on both opening packages. Standard pool vacuuming is $95 per hour, and portable pump vacuuming is $189 per hour, with a one-hour minimum. Additional balancing chemicals and equipment repairs are also extra.

What size pools do the advertised prices cover?

Jovian and Kyle installed our pool last year in South Etobicoke. We have very tight access to the backyard and other pool companies recommend a vinyl pool because of the tight access. We knew we wanted a fiberglass pool and these guys figured it out and got it done with a beautiful Mova Pool. The whole project took no more than 2 weeks. Excellent work with both pool and interlocking. Highly recommend!

Jovian, Kyle, and their team did an outstanding job transforming our outdoor space. It was a major project involving the replacement of interlock, construction of fences, a deck, pergola, and bench, as well as planting and lighting. They worked quickly and efficiently, executing every aspect with exceptional skill and professionalism. Their communication throughout the process was excellent, keeping us informed and confident every step of the way. We couldn't be happier with the results — the craftsmanship and attention to detail truly exceeded our expectations. One of the best testaments to their work is that two of our neighbours have since hired Stone for their own backyard projects!

Thank you so much for making our front yard so inviting, and our backyard one we can now relax and enjoy. Jovian, was amazing to work with on the design, making changes as we requested them, and making suggestions where appropriate. The budget price for the project was fair, and the project came in on budget and ahead of schedule. Professional communications and reliable service. Thanks so much.

Jovian and his team did an amazing job on our backyard patio, clearing out our small deck and replacing it with stone tiles across the width of our house. But he really outdid himself by building a stone bench around 13 feet long from the very basic description I gave him. Seats 6 people and grandkids love to run across the top.

Joe and his team came in and in one week completely transformed the look of our yard. Stone steps and armour stone as well as plantings and a new fence. We get compliments every day from neighbours and those passing by.

Jovian was one of the only contractors that explained to us the proper way of fixing our front stone steps and re-doing our flagstone with a wet lay. After hiring numerous contractors over the years, he was one of the few that I did not have to worry about making sure that the job was done properly, thus alleviating much stress that occurs during projects. He was professional, courteous and work was completed in a timely manner. I would highly recommend his services and will always use Stone Landscaping for anything I need done in the future.
